We provide data error and plausibility checking, and data cleaning.

The Data Processing department executes a variety of jobs varying in duration, complexity, purpose and industry for our clients. The deliverables include various combinations of the following: standard tables from UNCLE or Quantum software; graphs; ASCII file; SPSS file; and customized reports using MSWord, Excel, Access, etc.

When each questionnaire is programmed in either the CATI, MRStudio or CAWI environment, checks are built in for a number of different numeric tests. All appropriate logic checks are made, including how skip patterns are followed (for example, "if yes, answer Qa, if no, skip to Qb) and whether answers are logically consistent. Checks are also made on numeric fields for logical consistency of answers (points or percentages assigned to different categories must add to the logical total).

Quota group qualification data is carefully checked to ensure that respondents are qualified to be in the quota groups to which they are assigned on the questionnaire.

All checking of possible data errors or inconsistencies are always verified with the original documents.

Data Entry

McGuire Research’s Data Entry Department maintains a 99.9% accuracy rate on processed jobs.

A format program is set up to catch any illegal punches or columns while the data is being keypunched.

All I.D. and card numbers are verified to ensure that data is complete.
